Meet miya sadé

Miya Sadé is a Los Angeles-born, Atlanta-raised artist whose love for music and performance runs deep in her family.

Coming from generations of performers, Miya grew up surrounded by stories of artistry. Her grandmother and great-grandmother were blues singers, while her grandmother, uncle, and father danced on Soul Train. That legacy of music, movement, and performance is something Miya believes was passed down to her—and today, she carries it forward in her own way.

After years of making music without fully giving herself the freedom to explore, Miya is entering a new chapter. Rather than confining herself to one sound, she’s experimenting—pulling from R&B, soul, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, hip-hop, and other influences as she discovers what feels most authentic to her.

At the heart of it all is escape.

Miya makes music for people who need somewhere to go emotionally. Sometimes that escape looks like dancing until you forget what was bothering you. Sometimes it’s crying to a song that says exactly what you couldn’t put into words. Other times, it’s simply feeling confident, sensual, free, or understood for a few minutes.

For Miya, music doesn’t have to make you feel just one thing.

It just has to make you feel.
